Permanent Eyeliner Pre-care Instructions:

4 Weeks Prior:

• Avoid Botox or fillers near the eyes.

• Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, dermabrasion, or any intense skincare treatments.

• Discontinue Vitamin A/Retinols and anti-aging creams.

• Discontinue serums for eyelash growth, such as Latisse.

2 Weeks Prior:

• Avoid eye facials, peels, and waxing.

• Do not tan or sunburn your face.

• Avoid becoming sick or having a compromised immune system.

1 Week Prior:

• Avoid Motrin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Naproxen.

• Steer clear of fish oils, DHA supplements, cayenne supplements, turmeric, vitamin E, niacin (or anything causing blood thinning).

• Consult a physician if using the above medications for medical reasons.

• Any lash extensions must be removed.

1-3 Days Prior:

• Avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, or excessive caffeine consumption.

Day of Procedure:

• Avoid strenuous exercise on the treatment day.

• Do not wear mascara.

• Ensure your eyes are makeup and moisturizer-free.

• If you wear eyeglasses, bring them to your appointment.

• Remove contact lenses before the procedure.

The skin restores itself about 28 days after the permanent tattoo procedure. During the first 7-10 days, the dermis heals, but the pigment continues settling.

Day 1

After the salon, expect bright, dark eyeliner. Your eyes may be puffy and red for 1 to 3 days. Remove lymphatic fluid with clean wet wipes. Wash your eyes with warm water and air dry, then apply ointment or grapeseed oil. Use clean, cool cotton rounds to reduce swelling. Sleep with your head slightly elevated on a fresh pillowcase.

Day 2

The pigment may darken further. Keep the area clean by blotting with wet cotton rounds or gently washing with warm water. Apply a thin layer of ointment or grape seed oil.

Days 3-7

Avoid washing your eyes. Crusting and scabbing begin. Some itching is normal; apply a thin layer of ointment. Do not pick or scratch the area.

Days 10-14

The skin heals, but it's still sensitive. Scabbing reduces, and the pigment lightens. Avoid cosmetic procedures, dyeing eyelashes, or sauna/swimming.

Day 14

Pigment settles and may change color. Imperfections are corrected at the touchup session 4 to 8 weeks later.

Showering (10 days):

Limit showers to 5 minutes to avoid steam. Keep the face/procedure area dry until the end of the shower.

Notes:

• Do not use contact lenses for 48 hours.

• Avoid mascara and heavy household cleaning.

• Eyeliner tattoo maintenance:

• Avoid eyelash curlers for 2 weeks.

• No eyelash extensions for 2 weeks.

• Avoid certain skincare products for 4 weeks.

• Minimize sun exposure and sweating for optimal healing.
